On April 23, 2021 the University of Cyprus Library organized a national dissemination event with the aim to provide updates about the European efforts regarding the Open Science ecosystem. The event addressed academics, researchers, policy makers, funders, librarians and Open Science enthusiasts.
More specifically, the University of Cyprus Library organized this event as a member of the National Initiatives for Open Science in Europe – NI4OS Europe project, which aims to be a core contributor to the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC) service portfolio.
The agenda of the event included presentations about the current status and the importance of EOSC implementation, the new developments on FAIR data, as well as the NI4OS-Europe role and actions. The National Open Science Cloud Initiative plan in Cyprus was also presented.
The event was held online due to the pandemic situation and was attended by 65 participants.
